Twin Arbor Labs is a Microbiological and Analytical Laboratory located within California's Central Coast. Our Lab offers a unique laboratory experience by providing a service that is more directed towards each clients' needs and goes beyond a basic routine testing facility. Our approach is designed to give each client a "VIP" experience while also providing the tools to achieve the highest quality of data possible.

Here at Twin Arbor Labs, we take quality control seriously with our goal to provide our clients with the highest quality data possible. We have employed a robust quality control system, along with a dedicated team to achieve this goal. 

  • We follow FDA validation guidelines

  • Approved AOAC, EPA, and USP methodologies

  • Participate in proficiency testing

  • Third Party Accreditation 

 

We hold our ISO 17025:2017 accreditation with the national accrediting body PJLA.  As we expand our capabilities for our client's requirements, we will also be concurrently updating our ISO 17025:2017 scope to ensure that all relevant data meets our clients needs.

Forrest Richmond Founder and CEO of Twin Arbor Analytical

Forrest Richmond
Founder and CEO

Forrest began his career as a chemist in 2011 at Rinko & Associates and has an extensive background in materials chemistry, soil chemistry and government contracting. He has a dual B.S. in Soil Science and Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University. He has spent the last 4 years building a successful business and honing his entrepreneurial skills on the Central Coast of California.

Shawn Richmond
Founder and Biological Lab Director

Shawn received a dual B.S. from California Polytechnic State University in microbiology and molecular biology and is following that with a M.S in the Biological Sciences Department. She has a professional background in water quality control and public health microbiology. Shawn’s lifelong connection to the Central Coast has driven her to provide the region with excellent customer care and product safety.

Sesshōmaru (Sushi) Richmond
Taste Tester

One of two lab adopted brothers from Mexico. Sushi is taller, longer, and leaner and loves to speak. Learns from Big Bro Jerry.

Greeter

Jerry is a Border Collie Irish Wolfhound mix born in Los Osos, CA. He enjoys long walks on the beach and chasing vermin in the open fields. He is an expert at table scrap removal, client greeting and security.

"Guard"

The other lab adopted brother from Mexico. Hiro looks more like their Shephard side and sounds twice his size. Learns from his 2 human bros.

Chris Gray Partner and Analytical Lab Director of Twin Arbor Analytical

Dr. Chris Gray
Quality Control Director and COO

Entrepreneur and analytical scientist with a background in business analytics. Proven record working with complex interdisciplinary scientific questions. Chris obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder and followed that with a NRC fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. His diverse multidisciplinary knowledge and interests include science, technology and business.
